South Pasture Guest House

Our South Pasture House was once known as the Farm’s Pool House. It was built in the 1930s by the Haffenreffer family and its south-facing windows let in the most amazing light, with views across our South Pasture, which is home to our weekly Farmers Market during warm-weather months.

As you can guess by the name Pool House, it once sat next to a swimming pool. In fact, it was a saltwater pool and we understand it was quite a lively venue for outdoor parties. Nearing the end of its life, the pool was used by the Farm to display a wide variety of aquatic plants, and was featured in a show house event in 2000.

Today, visitors enjoy the three air-conditioned guest rooms each with its own bath. While the house features a small kitchen, there is no common area other than a beautiful patio that is a perfect gathering spot on warm days.
