Plant Medicine Making Series

  • Mount Hope Farm 250 Metacom Ave Bristol United States (map)

Join Maggie Hatzpanian of Maggie’s Healing Path at Mount Hope Farm this winter as she shares her expertise and passion for herbalism and plant-based medicine. Maggie has created a special four-part series, each two hours long, covering all the basic knowledge needed to begin the practice of making plant-based medicines at home! All materials and recipes will be provided. It is recommended to sign up for all four sessions, but you can also pick and choose the topics that sound the most interesting to you.

Part Three - Tinctures - March 13, 2024, 4 to 6 pm

Tinctures are the strongest form of plant medicines available. Tinctures can be made with different solvents, which will be discussed. Alcohol is the primary vehicle for tincturing most plants and is what will be used in this class. (Please inform us if you cannot use alcohol and accommodations will be made.)

Part Four - Designing Your 2024 Medicinal Garden - March 27, 2024, 4 to 6 pm

Throughout these classes you will learn which plants are your 'initials' - the plants you are working with now - at the beginning of your journey into herbalism. In the final class of the series, Maggie will guide each student to design and create an herbal garden in their own backyard!

Pricing:

Mount Hope Farm Members: $220 for the entire series or $60 per class

Non-members: $240 for the entire series $65 per class
