Montaup Room

Full Bed, Second Floor

The comfortable Montaup Room is the smallest in North Pasture and was traditionally used by the Haffenreffer family nanny. The large, private, keyed bath for this room is accessed via the hall, directly adjacent to the bedroom.

Montaup is the name for Mount Hope in the Pokanoket language. Mount Hope was the headquarters of Metacomet (King Philip), a chief of the Wampanoag Nation. The Wampanoag tribe had inhabited the lands of Mount Hope Farm for centuries before the arrival of European Colonists.
