Camp Wetu’s mission is to offer children ages six to twelve years old a camp experience that educates, engages, and enhances their confidence in their innate ability to nurture themselves, their community, and the planet. We are proud to incorporate Mount Hope Farm’s history; mission and whole community into our camp goals and motto “Learn from the past, look to the future, and celebrate today.”
Camp Wetu’s director is Frank Campo, a native Bristolian. Frank holds a BS in Sports Management from Endicott College and an MBA from Salve Regina University; he is a certified coach and personal trainer. Frank served as a lead counselor for the Bristol Parks and Recreation Department summer camp from 2008 to 2013. As the Farm’s Director of Programs, Frank has served as the lead staffer for weddings and events and as manager of the Farm’s partnership activities with clients from the James L. Maher Center. He has long looked forward to a time when Mount Hope Farm could offer a camp experience to kids in Bristol and beyond.
