Camp Wetu 8-Week Children's Summer Camp
Camp Wetu 2019 – Summer of Exploration!
“Exploring yesterday, creating today, changing tomorrow.”
Four 2-week sessions with the option to register for one week of the session!
Discovery, curiosity, and passion are values that we strive to nurture within all of our campers at Camp Wetu. So, what better theme for Camp Wetu 2019 than exploration?
Surrounded by the 127 acre beautiful and historic grounds of Mount Hope Farm, campers will explore the world around them ranging from the local community to the galaxies of our universe, during each of our four sessions.
They will also be given opportunities to explore themselves as they uncover a sense of confidence in their abilities and develop their interests and passions. All of this will take place while your campers have a blast interacting with their peers, participating in games, competitions, sports, crafts, and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Camp Wetu gives campers the opportunity to work with our highly trained staff, interact with the livestock on the farm including our Nigerian dwarf goats, donkeys, and pheasants, explore the acres of Mount Hope Farm, and interact with the local community including the Pokanoket Indian tribe and other local educators. This is an opportunity that you do not want to miss. Enroll now to begin exploring!
Camp Wetu’s mission is to offer children, ages 6-12, an experience that develops their curiosity and engagement with the world around them. Campers will develop confidence, compassion for those around them, and a sense of duty to help the community through an inquiry based camp experience. We are proud to incorporate Mount Hope Farm’s history, natural resources, and animals into our program.
Our regular day runs from 9 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Campers registered for the regular day can begin arriving at 8:30 am and must be picked up by 3:30 pm.
Campers registered for the extended day can begin arriving at 8 am and must be picked up by 5:30 pm.

Camp Wetu 2019 is divided into four 2-week long sessions, but you may sign up for one week
Each session has a theme related to exploration. Each day at Camp Wetu will be filled with activities both related to our theme and ones not related to the theme. The theme serves as a topic of discovery for the session but does not encompass all that happens during the day.
Each day at Camp Wetu campers will interact with our farm animals, play games and sports, do fun and interesting crafts, and participate in activities related to the theme which could vary from science experiments, visits from special guests, hands on activities and competitions, and so much more.
We understand that every camper has different interests and that is why we do our best to make sure there is something for everyone every day at Camp Wetu!
